Forerunners in Spain within the language summer programs sector, we yearly strive to create intensive educational experiences, aimed at promoting effective communication through linguistic & cultural immersion, Music, Drama, Sports, varied evening activities, week-end outings… and so much more! We look back with pride at the journey behind us and look forward with excitement at the road ahead. Thank you, families, for your loyalty and trust!
Over 35 years at the forefront of intensive language immersion summer programs for children and teenagers.
Why go for Chester College's international summer programs?
Pioneers in Spain in language immersion programmes since 1985.
We are a school with a mission: the all-round education of the children and teens we are entrusted. We do not only teach languages, but deeply care for the most holistic development of our campers.
We are family-founded and pride ourselves in our tight-knit, family-like educational community. We want our campers to feel at home: one needs to feel safe and at ease to communicate, particularly in a second language!
Our figures speak for themselves: our campers and their families highly value their time with us and come back year after yer! 60% of our campers come back to us 2 summers or more. In 2019, 40% of our campers had attended 6 or more Camp editions! What makes us smile even more: we now get to welcome many children of former campers from the first Camp editions.
- EXTERNAL DIPLOMAS
We are an official Trinity College London examination center since 1992, and we yearly prepare students to sit its various language certifications, with a 98% pass rate. We also prepare students for DELE (Instituto Cervantes) tests.
Personalized attention inside and outside group sessions, and permanent caring and thoughtful supervisión of all participants.
- TEACHING STAFF
Qualified, experienced, native-speaking teaching staff, who do not only teach but aim at results. Lots. The low 1:8 teacher:camper ratio is on their side.
- OPTIMAL TIME USE
Maximum learning & fun go hand in hand.
- CLASSES? NAH
We don’t like formally calling them like that: the school year is over, it is summer time and it is essential that we get into “Camp-mode”. In our group sessions (which we conduct and consider important) we learn grammar, syntax, vocabulary, phonetics, intonation… through intensive linguistic activities, games, songs, Musical auditions, rehearsals…
- DRAMA AND MUSIC
In our summer programs, campers do not only learn the odd song, or partake in role play activities… no. Campers put together a whole Musical from scratch, and perform it in front of family and friends before they go. It is quite an experience! In our internal assessments, campers have rated this Camp component with a 5 point score: it is a rather unique and unforgettable experience!
- FRIENDS FROM NEAR & FAR
Wonderful source of friends from Spain and other cultures: a great melting pot which stretches views and hearts.
An essential component of Chester College’s culture: we strive to creatively evolve, maintaining what works.
Our location: Santiago de Compostela
Yet one more reason to join us Camps is to spend some time in this very special corner of the world! Our campus is located at the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela, the final destination of pilgrims and hikers walking the “Camino de Santiago”.
Designated “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO in 1985, it is one of Spain’s most remarkable cities, containing old quarters, churches, convent buildings, a university and an air at once ancient, solemn, lively and modern. The University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) was founded in 1495 and it has over 25 000 enrolled students.
Santiago de Compostela has a population of about 100,000 inhabitants and an international airport.
