At the start of this school year a lot of students got involved at the tennis activity organised by the tennis club in Os Tilos, in our neighbourhood. Students practice every Wednesday from 5:45 to 6:45 with coaches Iván and Marcos. To show their progress in the field of tennis, the tennis coaches of the club decided to organise a tournament for the students. The students of Chester College International School showed great sportsmanship no matter their score, because after all the true victory is always gained from a fair game.
The students who didn’t win the original quarterfinals also played games against each other, to determine the final ranking. The matches were very intense, with games lasting up to two hours! Erik Aldermann and Alejandra Amaro had to continue their match on a Sunday in order to establish the winner!
The club is currently organizing a tournament for the athletes in March. This will be a way to observe their improvement in the sport. It is excellent to see the students involved in extracurricular activities in order to take a break from their studies and improve their physical conditions!
